On March 6th, the Oreo cookie celebrated its 100th birthday!
The world's favorite cookie was first produced in the National Biscuit Company's (Nabisco) Chelsea bakeries in Manhattan; it even has a street named after it - Oreo Way, West 15th street between 9th and 10th Avenues, the site of the original bakery.
