The Very Stuffed Turkey by Katherine Kenah- A friendly turkey gets five invitations to Thanksgiving dinner. Since he doesn't want to hurt any feelings, he accepts all of them. In the end, Turkey decides that next year, he'll host all his friends at one party. Recommended for ages 3-5 years.
Gobble, Gobble, Tucker by Leslie McGuirk- Smelling the familiar scent of roast turkey, Tucker the dog knows his favorite day of the year has arrived, Thanksgiving, when he gets to play with his family and enjoy the feast. Recommended for ages 2-5 years old.
Thanksgiving Rules by Laurie Friedman- Young Percy Isaac Gifford provides a list of ten rules for getting the most out of Thanksgiving Day, especially how to best enjoy the buffet. Recommended for ages 5-9 years.
10 Fat Turkeys by Tony Johnston- The antics of ten fat turkeys on a fence illustrate counting from ten to one. Recommended for ages 3-5 years.
Gus the Pilgrim Turkey by Ellen Joy Sasaki- Gus, a young turkey goes on the lam as Thanksgiving rolls around. He jumps on a ship and arrives at the South pole where he dons a tuxedo and hides among the penguins. Recommended for ages K- Grade 3.A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Baleman-The Townspeople of Squawk Valley try to trick a turkey into being their Thanksgiving dinner, but are frustrated when the turkey tricks them instead. Recommended for Preschool- Grade 2.
Turkey Pox by Laurie Halse Anderson- On their way to Thanksgiving at Nana's house, Charity's family notices that charity has the chicken pox, and it looks like there will not be any Thanksgiving celebration for Charity until Nana comes up with a big surprise. Recommended for Kindergarten to Grade 3.
