On October 13th Syosset Library along with over 75 libraries island-wide participated in the GREAT GIVEBACK.
Each library invited their patrons to take some time out of their day and "give back" to their community. Some libraries ran food drives, others wrote letters to overseas troops and one library helped a mid-west town devastated by a recent tornado.
Here at Syosset, we asked our patrons to create craft kits and write a letter to a child who is receiving medical care. Each assembled kit and letter was delivered to local hospitals and handed out to the children.
Thank you to our patrons for GIVING BACK and spreading some happiness to a child in need.
