The Syosset Library recently presented two
programs in honor of Veteran’s Day.
Author Valerie Pfundstein visited the Children’s Room on
November 5th and read her book Veterans: Heroes in Our Neighborhood to an audience of adults and
children. In a moving presentation, she
told us stories about friends and family members who are veterans, including
one German Shepherd. She encouraged the children to find the veterans in their
own families and to write down their stories.
On Veteran’s
Day, the Banjo Rascals performed a patriotic themed concert in our theater for the enjoyment of all.
A world of gratitude to all our veterans, past and present.
