National Bookmobile Day is part of the weeklong observance of National Library Week (April 8-14), sponsored by the American Library Association to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. Come and visit us during Library Week —tell us why you like coming to the library and pick up a bookmark (while they last)!Bookmobiles are special to me in particular since they were my first introduction to libraries. Although I grew up in the suburbs, my mother didn’t drive and some of my favorite memories are when we walked to the bookmobile on Wednesdays and Fridays together.
