With so many wonderful books to choose from here in the Children's Room a few are destined to be "lonely". What are lonely books? "Lonely books are really great books that no one has read for a while. Sometimes their covers are not very interesting. Sometimes they get overlooked because they are not shiny and new. Sometimes they just don't catch anyone's eye." The Children's Librarians have been selecting a bunch of excellent, albeit lonely, books from the shelves and putting them on display outside our computer room. Next time you're in the library, pick up a lonely book (just remember not to judge a book by its cover) and discover a great story that you otherwise might have overlooked.
