This year, Earth Day is April 22, 2021. We celebrate Earth day to protect our planet from pollution and deforestation. So, how can you celebrate Earth day?
1) Visit us at the Syosset Public Library. Read about Earth day and the many different ways we can celebrate it. Stop by the Children's Room to browse our collection.
Here are some of our favorite Earth Day books:
2) Plant a tree. Researchers estimate that roughly 15 billion trees in the world are cut down each year. Plant a tree of your own to help offset that loss.
3) Recycle. The next time you drink a bottle of water or a soda, think twice before you throw it in the trash. Instead, consider recycling it!
